A room with a view!!

What more can you ask for?

What a week...this picture is the view from our condo! Love it! The weather was great, the sun was bright, and the sand was hot!

The girls all ready for fireworks..I think I got 10 mosquito bites that night..but well worth it for sure!

This was Faith's first beach trip and she was lovin it. She is a beach bum...the ocean was her BFF for the week...could not get enough!

Liberty loved the sand, water, and the huge snow cones that they had right on the beach...she changed favorite kinds about 5 times. Banana, Strawberry, Bubble Gum...you get the idea!

Cadence....she is awesome! Not a peep in the car, or when she had sand all over her, and in her diaper, and mouth....yuck! She just laughed at me while I struggled to fix it! She truly is the best baby....I thank my lucky stars for her everyday!

Best part was we got to see Danny for 3 days and spend some much need quality time. I think it was a little shock for him to jump right back into the swing of things..but we had a blast and thats all that matters!

~~ It's a jungle out there....~~

I am not joking...the housing market in the Northern Virginia area is a nightmare. People are trying to grab what is available at a decent price.

If you find it you had better take it, or in a matter of hours it could be gone.

But I was able to come out pretty well and I have to say got a pretty nice place.

It is by far not what we are used to at all...lots of changes to come! There are many, many, many stairs...which is good and bad!! (Maybe I will lose more weight faster! ) The laundry is on the bottom floor and the bedrooms are on the top..go figure right. ;)

The best part is that we have about 1000 square feet MORE than we had before, real hardwood floors, a huge kitchen w/ lots of counter space. Storage galore and some of the best schools in the area! No backyard..at all, but I could throw a rock and hit a pretty awesome playground. Give and take right...give and take! :)

The commute will only be about 20-30 min for both of us to work and school, so all in all we totally scored!

So glad that is over...whew!!!

~~ Bathroom re-do ~~

Since there is no crafting going on while all my "stuff" is on the moving trailer what better is there to do than a little painting!

Danny's mom and I decided to tackle giving her walls a faux finish.

I love this look..hides imperfections, stains, and you really can't mess it up to bad!

So here is a picture of the finished bathroom.

Supplies:

1. 2 tubs of joint compound

2. Paint

3. Beige faux stain

4. drywall trowel

5. old pillowcase to rub the stain around

Here is a close-up...you can see the detail a little bit better! Sorry, I forgot to take a before picture...but it was a green baby poop color!

Oh...and my reward....kinda! ;)

Hilton Head Island in South Carolina!! Whheeew whhoooo...

We are meeting Danny there for a little family 4th of July vacation! The kids and I are so excited to see him...it has been to long!

We made it!! It was a very long car ride, but we did it.

I am so proud if the girls..they ALL did better than I expected them to. Not alot of fighting or screaming, just playing, talking, and taking pictures with my phone!

So glad that this journey is almost over! Now off to find a new house! :)
